Sky Valley Estates is especially honored to be the ONLY Fire Safe Community in all of Big Bear Mountain. The developer has generously aggreed to donate funds to the S.B.C.F.D. to buy new equipment to update the fire station which is located at the doorstep of the Sky Valley Estates Community. As a Certified Fire Safe Community, many measures have been completed to ensure the maximum safety of the Sky Valley Estates residents. These include fire hydrants being installed at maximum 300 foot intervals rather than the normal 600 feet, and the water lines to the fire hydrants will have 3x the normal water pressure. Our CCRs require a sprinkler system in every home.

Additionally, a certified U.S. Forest Service Fuel Abatement plan encompasses the entire Sky Valley Estates development. This plan assures there are defensible spaces between all structures, helping to prevent the spread of any fire to additional buildings etc.
